Sri Lanka Cricket selectors on October 18 (Friday) named a 16-member squad for the three-match ODI series against West Indies, beginning October 20 with the first match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Dilshan Madushanka, who rose to prominence after a great showing in the ODI World Cup 2023, is finally back in the Sri Lanka squad for ODIs, having last featured in an ODI in March 2024 against Bangladesh.
All-rounder Chamindu Wickramasinghe, who made his T20I debut against India in a series in July this year, has received his maiden ODI call-up as well. Sri Lanka have already won the T20I series 2-1 against the visitors West Indies. With a Test series win against New Zealand, they would now be looking to complete a triplet of series wins across formats.
