Rohit Sharma Surpasses Rahul Dravid in THIS legendary list

Rohit also went past West Indian legend to become the second-highest six-hitter in ODIs

Rohit Sharma was on a record-breaking spree during the second ODI against England in Cuttack on February 9 (Sunday). He went past former India coach and captain Rahul Dravid in the tally of total runs scored in ODIs by an Indian batter. 

Rohit, before this match, needed 22 runs to get past Dravid and reached the milestone with a straight six down the ground against Saqib Mahmood during the fifth over.

Rohit now ranks fourth among Indian players with the most runs in ODIs, with Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, and Sachin Tendulkar are ahead of him.

Rohit goes past Gayle

In the same match, Rohit went past West Indies great Chris Gayle for the number of sixes hit by a batter in ODIs as well. The Indian skipper reached the milestone with his second six of the innings. 

He hit two of them in back-to-back overs. Now, Rohit is only behind Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi in the six-hitting list in ODIs.
