The Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida, is set to host its first match of the 2024 T20 World Cup, with Sri Lanka taking on Nepal on June 11 (Tuesday). However, there’s a high possibility that the match could get washed out.
There’s more than 90 percent chance of rain during the game in Florida. There’s also a threat of flooding in the city. The forecast for the next few days isn’t great and it could affect the other three matches as well.
8 am June 11: A trough over the eastern Gulf of Mexico is expected to produce heavy rains across Florida and there is a low chance of a tropical depression forming off the U.S. Southeast Coast later this week. For more information, visit https://t.co/tW4KeGe9uJ pic.twitter.com/RRdfRaomH5

The USA and Ireland are scheduled to play a game here on June 14 (Friday). India will take on Canada on June 15 (Saturday) before Pakistan and Ireland face off on June 16 (Sunday).
Don’t be surprised if the majority of these games are washed out. If Sri Lanka are forced to share a point with Nepal, the Island Nation will be all but knocked out of the tournament. The same will happen with Pakistan if their match is also called off.
