Canada and the United States of America (USA) will travel to the Netherlands to play a tri-series, which is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. The One-Day International (ODI) tri-series will begin on Sunday (August 11) and reach its conclusion on August 21. All the six matches will be played in Voorburg.
The League 2 acts as one of the qualification pathways for the ODI World Cup in 2027. The top four teams from this cycle will progress to the Qualifiers, and from there four more will progress to the main draw of the World Cup, where 14 teams will fight it out for the ultimate prize. These three teams will then play a T20 International (T20I) tri-series, from August 23 onwards. The squads for those fixtures are yet to be announced.
