Mithali Raj, who joined the Andhra Cricket Association as a Mentor and Consultant for Women’s Cricket Operations, has parted ways with Gujarat Giants, a Women’s Premier League (WPL) side, as a mentor and advisor.
“Excited to start a new chapter with the Andhra Cricket Association as a Consultant & Mentor for Women’s Cricket Operations,” Mithali posted as a part of her long LinkedIn post.
According to a Cricbuzz report, Mithali, signed by the Gujarat side for three years, is leaving the side after the completion of only two seasons.
Another member of the Giants’ coaching staff, bowling coach Nooshin Al Khadeer, has also decided not to continue in her role. She had a two-year contract only. Khadeer is currently serving as head coach of the Indian U-19 side.
All the other members of the Giants’ coaching staff - head coach Michael Klinger and fielding coach Carl Hopkinson will continue in their positions. The replacements by the Giants are likely to be announced on December 12.
