IPL 2025: Big BOOST For Rajasthan Royals As Sanju Samson Returns To Training

Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Sanju Samson suffered a finger injury after being hit by a Jofra Archer bouncer during India's five-match T20I series against England.

Rajasthan Royals have received a big boost as skipper Sanju Samson joined the squad on March 17 (Monday) after getting clearance from his finger injury. The Indian wicketkeeper batter got himself injured during the fifth T20I against England, which led to Dhruv Jurel keeping wickets for him.

Samson had hurt his finger after a nasty bouncer from Jofra Archer caught him off guard. While it is still not confirmed whether Samson will be cleared to keep wickets during IPL 2025 in Jurel, RR have more than a valuable option.

Not only that, but the 2008 IPL-winning franchise have also received another boost as star all-rounder Riyan Parag has been cleared fit. The all-rounder spent a large portion of his last few months gaining full fitness and only made his comeback against Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy 2024/25 season.

RR kick-off their IPL 2025 against Sunrisers Hyderabad away from home on March 23 (Sunday).
