Follow UsThe ICC Champions Trophy (CT) is finally back after eight years and people are gearing up to see yet another India vs Pakistan clash, a rarity these days, given that the two teams collide only in ICC events or Asia Cups.
Mostly, these nations have played at neutral venues only except for times when India was the host of the event.
After Pakistan got the hosting rights for CT 2025, it was hoped that the nation would finally be able to see the likes of Virat Kohli play at their grounds for the first time. But it was not to be.

So where would the match be played, if not in Pakistan? According to the new ICC rules, all India-Pakistan games at the ICC level would be played at neutral venues. Thus the India vs Pakistan match in ICC CT 2025 would also take place at a neutral venue - the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, UAE.

What about India’s other matches? Not only would India play in Pakistan in Dubai, but they would play all their matches in Dubai itself. Even the semi-final and final, should India be involved in it, will be played in Dubai.
This is by the latest ICC rule which states that till the next ICC Future Tours Program (FTP), which will end in 2027, both India and Pakistan will play all their matches, including the ones against each other, at neutral venues.
Thus, India will face all their group-stage opponents - Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand - in Dubai.
