India’s left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav wouldn’t mind travelling to Pakistan for next year’s Champions Trophy. The 50-over competition, which is making its return after a gap of eight years, will be played in Pakistan in February-March 2025.
As of now, India have not confirmed whether they will be travelling to Pakistan. The Men in Blue haven't visited Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup, while the latter have come to India for the 2016 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Coincidentally, Pakistan and India were involved in the grand finale of the last Champions Trophy, with the former emerging victorious by 180 runs. "As cricketers, we will play wherever we are sent. I have never been to Pakistan before, so I am excited,” said Kuldeep at an event in Australia.
“The Pakistani people are great, and whenever we get the chance, we will definitely go and play there.”
The PCB submitted the draft to the ICC in July. India and Pakistan are slated to play their match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 1.
Karachi and Rawalpindi will host the semi-final. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand will be in Group A, while Australia, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan will be in Group B.
Overall, seven matches will be played in Lahore, while Rawalpindi and Karachi will witness five and three matches, respectively. However, if India were to make it through, their game would be played in Lahore, where the final will also be played.
