Hindi commentary in Australia: Channel 7 to collaborate with Star Sports for BGT

The Hindi feed will be available on 7Plus, one of the many platforms offered by Channel 7, official broadcasters of the series in Australia

The Australian media going overboard with the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2024-25 reached another level after the official broadcaster of the five-match Test series, Channel 7 announced that in partnership with its India rights holders, Star Sports, it will offer Hindi Commentary feed to Australians for the first time.

This announcement, made on November 13 (Wednesday), came just a day after major Australian newspapers like Sydney Morning Herald and Courier Mail carried an eight-page wrap on the Indian tour of Australia in three languages, i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi.

The announcement was made through a post on X by the 7Cricket handle. The Hindi feed will be available on 7Plus, one of Channel 7's many platforms.

The five-match series will begin on November 22 with the first Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Australia have not held the trophy since their last series win in 2014-15.
