David Miller ruled out for "a week or two"

In the previous match against SRH, the left-hander smashed 44* off 27 but was struggling to run between the wickets

Kane Williamson has confirmed that David Miller will be out of action for “a week or two”.

The left-hander batter smashed a match-winning 27-ball 44* against Sunrisers Hyderabad but was struggling to run between the wickets.

As a result, Miller was unavailable for Gujarat Titans’ fourth Indian Premier League 2024 match against Punjab Kings on April 4 (Thursday) and was replaced by Williamson.

“Nice to be out there, shame to lose Davey (Miller) for a week or two,” said Williamson during the innings break.

Playing his first game of the season, Williamson scored 26 off 22 while batting at No.3. The batter from New Zealand put on 40 runs for the second wicket with Shubman Gill.

The GT skipper himself smashed 89* off 48 and took his team to 199/4 in 20 overs.

Miller has been an integral part of the Titans since their inception. In 32 innings, the South African batter has hit 817 runs at an average of 48.06 and a strike rate of 143.6.
