Sunrisers Hyderabad have sacked Brian Lara and appointed Daniel Vettori as their new head coach after a disappointing Indian Premier League 2023.Â
Vettori served as Royal Challengers Bangalore's head coach from 2014 to 2018 and is currently the assistant coach of the Australia men's team. The 44-year-old is also the Birmingham Phoenix men's team head coach at the Hundred.
He has also worked with the Big Bash League, Caribbean Premier League and the Vitality Blast teams in the past.

Kiwi legend Daniel Vettori joins the #OrangeArmy as Head Coach🧡
Welcome, coach! 🔥 pic.twitter.com/2wXd8B1T86
The appointment makes Vettori SRH's fourth head coach after Tom Moody, Trevor Bayliss and Lara. The latter took up the responsibility last year but witnessed SRH's worst season in their IPL history.Â
The Orange Army had a well-balanced squad but could win only four of their 14 league games, finishing last on the points table. In fact, they haven't qualified for the playoffs in the last three years.
