Follow UsThe league stage of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 came to an end as Trinbango Knight Riders (TKR) smashed league leaders Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) by 74 runs in match 30 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on September 29 (Sunday).
However, even after this huge loss, the side from Guyana topped the points table and would therefore play in Qualifier 1 against St Lucia Kings while the Knight Riders will be up against Barbados Royals in the eliminator.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Knight Riders were powered by Nicholas Pooran’s yet another century (101) and reached 211/5 in their 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Warriors could not get going, folding for 137 in 18.5 overs.
