Follow UsBarbados Royal (BR) kept their Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 hopes alive with a nine-wicket victory over Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the rain-curtailed Eliminator in Guyana. Nicholas Pooran led the way once again for TKR with a magnificent 91* off 60, and eventually, when the rain came pouring down, they reached 168/3 in 19.1 overs.

When play resumed, the Royals were given a target of 60 in five overs, and when Sunil Narine got rid of Quinton de Kock off the third ball of the chase, the challenge became even more difficult for Barbados. That's when David Miller took charge. He smoked five sixes and three fours on his way to an unbeaten 17-ball 50.
In the end, the Royals got to their target with four balls to spare. Barbados will now face the loser of the Qualifier 1 between St Lucia Kings (SLK) and Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) in Qualifier 2 in Guyana on October 4 (Friday).
