Harshit Rana suspended for one game for breaching IPL Code of Conduct

Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Harshit Rana has been fined 100% of his match fees and suspended for one match for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the Indian Premier League 2024 match against Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 29, 2024 (Monday).

"Rana committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.5 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offense and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," an IPL statement said.

The player was earlier penalized under the same level and article of the IPL Code of Conduct, and hence, the accumulation of points led to his suspension.

Rana has been one of the best bowlers in the IPL 2024, having grabbed 11 wickets at an average of 24.90, and played a crucial role in KKR finding themselves at the second position on the points table.
